MansionMath provides estimates for educational purposes. Actual loan terms, taxes, insurance, fees, investment returns, and eligibility may vary.
How this calculator works
Equity = estimated home value − outstanding mortgage balance. Loan-to-value = balance ÷ value × 100. Net equity after sale = value − balance − estimated selling costs as a percentage of value. Negative values represent modeled underwater equity.
Use current quotes, local rates, and measured dimensions to make this estimate useful for your situation.
Frequently asked questions
Can equity be negative?+
Yes. If debt exceeds estimated market value, the modeled equity is negative.
Can I borrow all this equity?+
Not necessarily. Lenders set LTV limits and evaluate eligibility. This is an arithmetic estimate, not a lending offer.
